About soft tissue sarcoma

Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS) is a group of malignant tumours that originate in “soft tissues”. Soft tissues include muscles, tendons, fat, blood and lymph vessels, nerves and joint linings (synovial tissue). As soft tissues are found everywhere in the body, STS may arise anywhere [1] but are most common in the arms and legs (50 %), followed by the torso and abdomen (40 %), and head and neck (10 %) [1].

STSs are rare tumours. They are more common in adults than in children. The peak incidence is around the age of 50–60, but the tumour can occur at any age [1].

The above products may be suitable for treating patients with STS. We recommend that you discuss the suitability of possible treatment options with your doctor. For further information please contact our support team at support@thesocialmedwork.com.
