As the Bookkeeper at TheSocialMedwork you will be responsible for providing financial and management information that is necessary for the company to function effectively. You are responsible for the day to day maintenance and management of the company’s bank accounts, cash, company credit cards and expenses. You will be responsible for preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, forecasts and budget management. And you will assist the CEO in the preparation of financial schedules and accounts for the annual review and audits.

You will create, generate and record sales invoices and credit notes (outgoing). You will file taxes like VAT, if applicable. You will maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger and administer all payments and expenses. Thus, you are responsible for the incoming invoices and prepare them for approval. And you will help maintain and manage company’s cash flows and budgets.

This is a full time role (40 hrs/week).

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Day to day maintenance of the international sales income and expenses, incl. issuing invoices
  • Management of the company’s cash flows on the bank accounts
  • Management of incoming invoices and payments
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly management reporting of actuals and forecasts
  • Ensure proper registration and filing of taxes applicable
  • Maintain proper administrative organisation of the registration of the accounts according to Dutch and international ethics and accounting principles

Education / Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in bookkeeping in an international trading or e‑commerce company
  • Degree in Business Administration or a comparable field
  • Fluent in English, verbal and writing, Dutch as an addition is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications, esp. an Excel-hero
  • Familiarity with Accounting software (Twinfield, Basecone etc.)
  • Familiarity with E-Commerce software (WooCommerce)
  • Work Permit for the Netherlands
  • Live and work in Amsterdam.

Patients find these medicines via our online platform and then reach out to us for information and support in sourcing and importing them.

Following a patient-centered approach, to date, patients and doctors from over 100 countries have reached out to us. We have successfully delivered medicines to six continents.
